SIAMS Success
St Andrew's celebrates after its recent SIAMS inspection.
On 21st March 2019 we underwent a statutory inspection by the National Society (Church of England). This is known as a SIAMS inspection.
The SIAMS inspection focuses on the impact of the Church school's Christian vision on pupils and adults. This involves looking at the school’s Christian vision, the provision the school makes because of this vision and how effective this provision is in enabling all pupils to flourish.
In 2018 a new inspection framework was introduced and we are one of the first schools to be inspected under this new framework.
The Evaluation Schedule has one inspection question: how effective is the school’s distinctive Christian vision, established and promoted by leadership at all levels, in enabling pupils and adults to flourish?
This is explored through seven strands:
Vision and Leadership
Wisdom, Knowledge and Skills
Character Development: Hope, Aspiration and Courageous Advocacy
Community and Living Well Together
Dignity and Respect
The impact of collective worship
The effectiveness of religious education
We are delighted to say that our inspection went well and we have attached a copy of the inspection report to this page. The report celebrates the many strengths that we have as a school as well as some areas for development. I hope you enjoy reading the report.
