Trips and Visits
School trips are vitally important to bring learning to life. Pupils can derive considerable educational benefit from taking part in trips. They have the opportunity to undergo experiences not available in the classroom; visits help to develop a pupil’s investigative skills and also encourage greater independence. They also provide pupils with knowledge and awareness of the world around them and encourage personal and social development.
Local visits and visits further afield are a regular and important part of the school curriculum, from Reception to Year 6. Parents are asked to make a voluntary contribution to the cost of these visits.
At St Andrew’s we are ambitious for our children. We know that by taking children out of the classroom we can cement and build upon each child's learning. These can be memories that keep learning alive for a lifetime.
Everyone remembers their best school trip.
