Mental Health and Wellbeing
At St Andrew's Church of England Primary School, supporting the mental health and wellbeing of our whole school community including pupils, staff and parents/carers is at the heart of all we do. We have agreed that wellbeing is a state of being comfortable, healthy and happy. We know that everyone experiences life challenges that can make us vulnerable and at times, anyone may need additional emotional support. Everyone has a role to play in promoting positive health and wellbeing across school. Children, staff and parent/carers are encouraged to talk about their feelings and to ask for help when they need it.
At St Andrew's, we will be working towards becoming an 'Emotionally Friendly' school in 2025-2026. The programme will support the positive mental and emotionally health of the children will will support you to promote the positive mental and emotional health of the children and staff. The programme links with our development in relation to growth mindset.
